Rexburg Pop Up Shop & COVID development
The past few weeks has brought a lot of change to our little corner of the world. The spread of the Coronavirus is causing businesses to close and events to be cancelled, which includes any plans we had for doing a physical event this spring. Since the Rexburg Pop Up Shop mission is to alwaysContinueContinue reading “Rexburg Pop Up Shop & COVID development”
After the Pop Up Shop
For the Rexburg pop-up shop, I have been gathering feedback from vendors to see what they could use more of in future events. We have done research and learned that many vendors and small business owners in the area want to learn how to better advertise for their business. Because of that, I spent aContinueContinue reading “After the Pop Up Shop”

Canva is quite simple, kind of the like design software forContinueContinue reading “Design in Canva”

Introduction For the past few weeks of class, we were challenged to expand our creative horizons in order to create an eye-catching creative advertisement for a randomly generated object. My object was scissors, so I found it challenging at first to come up with an idea for a creative advertisement. When I finally decided onContinueContinue reading “Scissors, Single Ladies, and Santa”
Fine Art Print
For the fine art print, I used this photo of a gnarled tree. I used a low f-stop to capture the lower section of bark in focus, which created bokeh on the tree branches. To prep it to print, I had to raise some of the shadows and make the whole image slightly brighter. ItContinueContinue reading “Fine Art Print”
Photo Contest
I submitted my photos to the Photographer’s Forum Tamron Student Showcase contest on December 8th. The two images I chose are from my Bannack Ghost Town photos, which were among my favorites, with descriptions on the location and focal lengths of the photos. I chose this contest because it is currently open, unlike many othersContinueContinue reading “Photo Contest”
Top Five
In this class, I learned a lot about photography. I went from not even slightly knowing how to use a camera to producing photos that challenged me to do better work and to showcase a variety of techniques. These are what I feel are my top 5 images from the whole semester. I was proudContinueContinue reading “Top Five”
